A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR PN

Greetings in the precious name of Jesus!

We had a great time of teaching, worship and fellowship at the Leaders Conferences in Phuket, Thailand. The theme of our conference was "A Strategic Church". Over 200 delegates from around the world gathered on the beautiful island of Phuket.

The speakers at the conference were Pastor Simon Eng, Pastor Denis Lu and I. There were many workshops at the conference taught by Dr Wilson Lim, Ps Stephen Pitavanik, Ps Ben KC Lee, Ps Dinah Lee, Ps David Chen and Ps Prakich and Charmaine Chee. The delegates had a wonderful time with fun activities such as sightseeing tours, shopping and snorkelling provided on the island. The Thai brothers and sisters performed cultural dances and entertained the delegates during meals.

One of the highlights was to hear all the wonderful testimonies from delegates around the world about God’s faithfulness and blessings in church planting. I am reminded that as we serve God wholeheartedly, He is faithful in blessing our family, church, community and the nations.

A Strategic Church Conference

We know that time flies, and if we do not set purposeful plans, or do not have clear focus and priorities, we may arrive at the end of our lives lamenting that we have not accomplished our heart’s desires. I truly believe that good strategies will be fully workable when accompanied by the good spirit and life character of godly people.

However, let us remember that a strategy, by itself, cannot be used by God to move the kingdom forward. I mentioned many years ago that the vision, philosophy of the ministry and the spirit of people are more important than a good strategy. Look at the Israelites who could not take the Promised Land. It was not because they lacked a good strategy or did not have a clear idea of their final destination. They failed because of their bad and sour spirit of grumbling against God and Moses. God cares for what we are more than what we do.

Pastor PN Ministry in 2007 (Video)

Ministry in Lagos, Nigeria

I thank God that I had an opportunity to preach with Pastor Adeboye from Redeemed Christian Church of God in Lagos, Nigeria.

He has been a great blessing to many churches around the world. His church is abundantly fruitful and powerful, with approximately 4 million members. He and his team have brought the love and grace of God to many people in Nigeria and planted many thousands of churches in Africa. Also, he has planted churches in 104 countries.

We can see that God’s work has been very fruitful, especially in Nigeria. Nigeria has big churches like Pastor William Komaye’s church (he visited our church when we held a service at Oscar Theatre).

God is moving in Africa

Pastor Adeboye is very humble and he is considered a great blessing. He values, and sees the significance of, the manifestation of signs, wonders and the power of God.

He allows the Holy Spirit of God to work through worship because African people like to worship. From their example, we can learn how to effectively lead missions with Africans and other people because we believe in the mighty power of God to do signs and wonders. Moreover, we believe that worship brings in God’s presence, and preaching the Word of God brings His authority. We also believe that making disciples in accordance with biblical principles and fellowshipping in small groups can enhance the growth of believers and churches.

Working of the Holy Spirit

When we let the Holy Spirit work with the word of God, the spiritual eyes of people will be opened and they will have a desire to seek God more.

However, as well as the word of God, we also rely on the grace of God, that by His grace, all things will be fulfilled according to His promises. No man can force Him to do miracles; however, we can ask Him to do them through our lives so that we can be a great blessing to others. We can pray for the sick to be healed or for the heart of people to be released from the power of darkness and the captivity of evil so that they can be touched by the power of God and grow in His Word.

I would like to thank God that He does great miracles in His churches all over the world so that they can fulfil the Great Commission of Christ Jesus. I believe that God desires the churches to be a great blessing to one another. And I also thank God that Hope churches can be part of being that blessing to churches in the world.

A God of miracles

God is alive and He always has victory. His work has, therefore, been fruitful in many churches in the world. I pray that God will bless Hope churches so we can see God perform miracles like He has done in Nigeria and that many people will come and accept His grace and love. I also pray that the Lord will enlarge your hearts with no limitations.

I am encouraged to hear about the miracles through Pastor Adeboye. He prayed for ten thousand barren women. They became pregnant and gave birth a year after receiving prayer. The mothers offered their children to God as a way of honouring God. The miracle really demonstrates God’s great power.

Our God is a Great God, so let us believe that we can bear plenty of fruit physically and spiritually at the same time.

May the Lord bless you.
