A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR PN

The Holy Spirit is stirring in my heart...

This year God, through the stirring of the Holy Spirit in my heart, has been letting me know that He is moving in the Great Commission. I feel that God has
given a burden to His people....

The burden is a vision for the Great Commission; to preach the Gospel and plant churches all over the world. It says in Matthew 24 that Jesus will not come back until the Gospel is proclaimed to every person in every nation.

A
nd this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

A shift in mentality towards the Great Commission...

It is in line with the Great Commission that God would bring a person, a group of people and a movement that has a burden for planting churches together. In the coming decade, the Great Commission and church planting all over the world will be a prominent trend of the Holy Spirit.

Pastors and churches will be more readily to respond to this call. People will open their hearts and accept the Great Commission and start planting churches.

In the past, people thought that the Great Commission was a difficult and distant commandment, too difficult to fulfil. But from now on, we will find that churches and pastors will respond wholeheartedly to this commission. Moreover, they will have the faith to believe that it is possible and can be done through God’s help. One day, it will be unusual for a church not to have a vision for the Great Commission.

The Great Commission and planting churches will become part of the spiritual DNA in every church community’s life.

An outward focus to reach the world...

Big seminars, in the past, have been focused on church growth and developing mega churches. Soon though, the tide will change and church planting will be global in focus, changing from internal church development to reaching out to other nations.

In the past, there has been an outside in view of church planting, meaning that the focus has been on the growth of one’s own church. However, the time has come to move beyond individual churches –we need to reach out to one’s own country, one’s own continent, and the world.

A sense of urgency to complete the vision...

Therefore, it really is the Holy Spirit’s time. The time of growing mega churches has passed. Now is the wave of planting churches to other nations which is part of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

We thank God for our Hope family that we have been in this wave for a long time. We focus more and more on fulfilling the Great Commission. We highly value planting churches both in this country and all over the world.

Working together with the body of Christ…

I believe that our Hope family will really be a blessing to the churches of the world and that they will be the ones to propel God’s work in the world and accentuate the value of church planting.

This will begin with bringing people to God, preaching the Gospel to new people, and bringing people to salvation in God’s Kingdom. Wherever we go, we will be planting churches like this. We will not focus on the churches that already exist because this will not produce the desired results for God’s Kingdom; instead, we will preach the Gospel to non-Christians and bring them to God’s Kingdom to be a part of the local church community.

May God bless you.

With best wishes,

Pastor PN Srithawong
HGI President

HOPE NORTH AMERICA CAMP & LEADERS CONFERENCE

Hope North America was privileged to host this year’s North America Annual Camp combined with the 63rd Leaders’ Conference on the theme A Priesthood Church. This is only the second time the events have combined. This year the combined event was held on August 16-19 in Camp Berachah in the evergreen state of Washington.....

Speakers at the Leaders Conference

We were honoured to have Pastor PN of Hope Bangkok and Pastor Simon Eng of Hope Kuala Lumpur as our special guest speakers. Our people were also stirred by the preaching of Pastor Ben KC Lee (Hope Singapore) and Pastor Mark Rusic (Hope Melbourne).

International delegates

In total there were 31 overseas delegates from Australia, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Norway, London and Singapore.

The ice-breaking games on the first night marked the start of many new friendships. All participants were divided into their Camp Teams of 8 -10 persons and everyone had lots of fun and laughter in the games.

Strong presence of God

The plenary sessions on A Priesthood Church convicted us on the call of God upon our lives to be priests. People were refreshed through dynamic praise and worship and prophetic words. Many of us were touched by the tangible presence of God as we worshipped.

On the final night, the love of God just filled the meeting room and brought tears to many.

The Holy Spirit moved strongly in the hearts of people and led them to reconcile broken relationships with ease and liberty. Members also openly affirmed their love and support for their pastors and leaders, which greatly encouraged them.

Fun games at the NA camp

A distinctive of the NA Camp must be the Experiential Learning! Each of the Camp Teams had to dress up their leader as the priest, design an ark of the covenant, coin a team slogan and compose a cheer all in line with the camp theme. We never imagined it would turn out this good! The rappers, the dancers, the singers and the designers combined in an amazing way.

Each of the Camp Teams also had to pit their skills against other teams at four different “play stations.” The games at each station were designed to home in learning points about A Priesthood Church.

All the participants kept on with much enthusiasm at the four stations despite the Seattle rain. Many campers commented that they have been able to remember salient points on A Priesthood Church through playing a part in these activities.

Appreciation to pastors and leaders

It was a great time of learning and transforming lives. Our churches in North America were really blessed to have Hope pastors and leaders from around the world at our Annual Camp.

Most of all we thank God for visiting us in a special way at camp!
