CHRISTIAN MUSIC ABLUM BY ANN- MARIE

Ann-Marie Skinner is from Hope Newcastle and is a gifted songwriter and singer. She has a deep passion to use music and creative arts to spread the love of Christ.

"My name is Ann-Marie from Hope Newcastle Christian Church, Australia (lead by my husband Chris Skinner). I am an English teacher and Singer/songwriter and I have always believed that music has the potential to transcend boundaries in telling the world about our Boundless God."

Introduction to Music Ablum (Video)

Communicate God's message through music

I thank God for providing me the diverse opportunities to be able sing at numerous events for his glory.

I believe that God calls us to speak the language of our day – both music AND multimedia are powerful tools we can use to do this. I have had the privilege to work with gifted friends to produce 2 music videos and feel called for us use this medium as a movement to communicate the love and principles of God.

Producing songs for Hope Ablum

God also opened the door for me to be signed with Hardrush Music who distributed my first professional album. And finally in 2006 I had the opportunity to help produce songs for the Hope praise & worship Album The Rock recorded at Hope Place, Hope Bangkok.

I believe that God has called me to step out in faith and use the medium of music and song writing to share His love and grace to those who know Him and those who don’t. Music can cross boundaries that sometimes even preaching cannot cross. (For example, Jericho’s wall and David’s harp playing).

I want to inspire and challenge our churches to go deeper in our worship, song writing and multimedia productions so that we may reach a generation who speak this language.

Who knows? Perhaps
Jesus’ parables today would come packaged in a God-inspired music or film. I believe the Best is Yet to Come in this area – and pray that you would be inspired to see those gifted in these areas in Your church & Our Movement rise up and Shine His Light.

In Him,
Ann-Marie Skinner

Music Album : What I Know Now

As mentioned, Ann-Marie’s latest CD entitled “What I Know Now” is available on Hardrush Music www.hardrushmusic.com/ann-marie.html revealing a wide range of praise, jazz, folk and pop influences.

This recording is the debut CD for one of Newcastle's more gifted singer-songwriters. With a variety of styles and moods, Ann-Marie has provided a refreshing new feel. Similar to her live performances, Ann-Marie has provided a quality delivery with deep lyrical meaning.

The five tracks cover issues of that Ann-Marie has delicately woven with words and melody to hold the listener and take them into her world. With their surreal atmosphere, the recordings offer more than just music, but an experience to enjoy.

There are up-tempo tunes here like "Rushing Wind" to the personal "What Would I Know Now" to the award finalist "Honour You" praise song. The opening tracks "Soldier" and "Princess" capture both sensitivity and rhythm to lure the listener to journey with Ann-Marie.

This CD is recommended for all who enjoy inspirational lyrics and music that carries you through to feel part of the song.
