CHURCH PLANTING CONFERENCE IN ARGENTINA

Greetings to my dear brothers and sisters in the Hope Family!

Hola
! I send you a greeting in Spanish because I just returned from a Spanish speaking country,
Argentina.

Apostolic Fellowship International (AFI)

I was invited by Ps Jorge Himitian, an executive committee member of AFI (Apostolic Fellowship International) to share at the Church Planting Conference. I shared about the church planting approach of the Hope Family to pastors and members under Ps Jorge spiritual covering in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina.

At present, Ps Jorge is the Senior Pastor of a movement in Argentina called “Communidad Cristiana”, which has approximately 270 churches across the country.

‘Plant church, Plant the Kingdom’

The main theme of the conference was ‘Plantar Eglesia, Plantar el Reino’ or ‘Plant church, Plant the Kingdom’ in English. The conference was separated into 2 main sessions. The first session was to encourage around 1,100 pastors and workers to let God’s mission become their own mission. The teaching topics were Church Growth, Multiplication and Church Planting.

Sunday Service Message: Missions Possible

The Sunday service was held in a stadium designed for around three thousand people. I had an opportunity to share a message entitled ‘Missions Possible’ to encourage everyone to participate in mission work according to their gifts and talents.

At the second session of the conference, around fifty pastors who play a key role in the AFI movement attended. I was so encouraged to see many servants of God who served the Lord fervently and have a strong determination to enlarge their mission work regardless of age.

Reaching South America

The pastors/leaders strategically discussed and shared how to advance the Kingdom in their country as well as the entire continent of South America. One of the key leaders was over 70 years old, but was still very keen on church planting. Besides his ability of remembering relevant data and statistics, he encouraged the congregation enthusiastically as if he was a 30 year old.

Global Missions

I noticed that those who spoke Portuguese and Italian could understand Spanish and I challenged these delegates that God can really use Argentina to bless not only South America but also many nations around the world.

Sharing the Hope Vision

At the end of the session, some pastors came to me sharing that they were so blessed by Hope Family Vision & Philosophy of the ministry, especially our determination to saturate the nations with Jesus’ Loving Grace by building strong and biblical churches. Also, they have set the goal of a thousand churches to be planted by the year 2010.

Partnership with God & the body of Christ

I really thank God in seeing what our Hope Family have achieved in advancing the Kingdom. We can make an impact in this world for Christ and inspire the Body of Christ in fulfilling the Great Commission together.

I hope this testimony stirs your heart to help accomplish the vision. We have good friends of Hope in our Argentinean brothers and sisters who support our vision and we also have the Lord Jesus who is faithful and will help complete the work He began in us.

God bless!
