VISION FOR THE FUTURE - HOPE SINGAPORE

Hi people, greetings from Hope Singapore. You know, last week was a tremendous week for many of us. We had our Global Conference in Singapore. We had wonderful times learning from the Word of God and fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters from all over the world.

On Saturday, we had a very special service. It was our third combined service for this year. The whole church came together and it was a very important service because during that service, God spoke through me to our whole church about the importance of having faith. See, this year is a year of preparation. We are prepared in three areas: our base camp, we are looking for a new place; we are going to prepare our lives, we want to be right with God; and we also preparing our leadership, so we are able to contain more things that God want to pour into our church.

Year of Preparation: 2009

We believe the next seven years from 2009 to 2015 are going to be a period of abundance and harvest. So this year, 2009, it is going to be a year of preparation, we need to prepare, not just prepare, but we need to prepare with faith so that we are able to end this year of preparation on a victorious note. So God spoke to us and God surfaced to us from Joshua 6 about how the people marched round the wall around Jericho, how they had so much faith, how they looked at things through the lens of faith. Not only that, how they obeyed with actions of faith. So I believe with all of my heart that God has really spoken to us. As a church, we are doing our very best.

Searching for new service venue

In terms of our base camp, we are looking at venues that we can purchase. We are also looking at buyers that will buy our Nexus venue. So we are praying very hard; PUSH: Pray Until Something Happens. We are going to pray that we are able to sell Nexus as high a price as possible and we are going to buy a new place for as low a price as possible. So the whole church is praying, we are doing our best and things are happening. So when things happen, I will let the whole movement about how God has blessed us with this base camp. It is there; we are just waiting for it to be delivered. It is just like a baby, it is in the mother’s womb, waiting to be delivered, and so we are just pushing and pushing and pushing. Praying until something really happens.

Growing in maturity of Christ

And then with regards to the areas of lives, we want everybody to live authentic, sincere lives. We want our people to walk right with the Holy Spirit. We want our people to just open their lives to people that loves us and love the Lord so that they are able speak truth into our life in love. So that is what we are doing as a church.

Raising up more leaders

Lastly, we want to prepare our leadership. We are drawing up whole streams of training and learning opportunities for everyone so we want to approach all this training with an excellent spirit, with a humble spirit. Why? Because we want to give our very best because of God’s very best with us. So that is what we are doing as a church.

Expecting God to do great things

We are excited; we are preparing ourselves so we are expecting great things from God. So we want to approach this year and end this year with faith, on a victorious note.
