HOPE NORTH AMERICA PASTORS RETREAT

Pastors and their wives came from Hope Chicago, Hope Los Angeles, Hope Seattle, Hope Vancouver Canada, and Pastors Ben and Dinah from Hope Singapore (our RMC). We rented a house in the north side of Chicago, for fellowship, meeting, and lodging. We started the retreat with dinner on October 31, followed by updates.

Moving in the Spirit

On November 1, we spent the morning worshipping and interceding. As we were praying, Pastor Dinah gave a word of prophecy for each couple. We were personally encouraged and refreshed.

North America Mission plans

In the afternoon, Pastor Ben did a lesson and then we finalized North American mission plans for 2009 through 2015, and 2015 through 2030.

We grouped Canada and the U.S. into mission regions. We identified the key (hub) cities in each region. Our aim is to plant churches in all of the key cities by 2015. Our aim is also to launch churches in key secondary cities by 2020. In addition, our aim is to launch churches in the remaining cities by 2030. Lastly, our aim is to also launch churches in all counties by 2050.



After dinner, Pastors Ben and Dinah spent time one on one with each of the couples, encouraging and praying for them. Pastors Ben and Dinah also spent time with Grace McFeely, who is leading and pioneering Hope Minneapolis.



Sunday service in Chicago

On Sunday morning, we gathered together at the Inn at Lincoln Park for the service. There were 45 people in total. 4 people came from Hope Minneapolis and 3 people drove 4 hours from Michigan to join us.

During the worship service, we experienced the presence of God. Everyone was encouraged from the message given by Pastor Ben. He preached from the book on Joshua on making decisions. This was 2 days before the US Presidential elections.

Two persons gave their lives to Christ at the end of the service.



A refreshing time in the Lord

From the congregation of Hope Chicago, we were encouraged. We saw the bigger picture of our entire family of Hope North America.

We ended the retreat by our core team having dinner with Pastors Ben and Dinah at a local restaurant. Then they spent time with my wife and I on Monday. Pastor William and Lan from Vancouver were also with us.
